The I AM INSPIRED™ coaching model is an integrated psychospiritual, biological, relational, emotional transformation change model drawing on the strengths of the Integrated Attachment Model (I AM) and the Satir Process Model. The purpose of this model is to help clients create lives they love by facilitating lasting behavioral change. This happens within the power of attuned relationships and through alignment with the divine Self.
Often life experiences, especially those in early childhood, can cause a person to form beliefs about themselves that may or may not be true. False beliefs can be even more pronounced when the client has experienced one or more traumatic events during childhood. In addition, roles and rules begin to form affecting behavior. While these beliefs and rules served a purpose at one point in time, they may not yield the highest benefits for a person in their current stage of life.
The I AM INSPRIDED™ coaching model provides a framework coaches can use to help clients look at current behavior patterns and internal beliefs that are no longer working for them and support them through the process of making any necessary changes for their continued growth and happiness.
The I AM in the model references the Integrated Attachment Model and the power that comes from a developed sense of Self. The word INSPIRED, when used in the context of this model, is an acronym with each letter representing key domains and resources available to every client. See the descriptions below:
I: Integration
This holistic approach refers to the process of awakening and aligning to the highest Self. It is the alignment of parts into a collective whole.
N: Neurobiology
The brain is where genes and the environment meet. Understanding how the brain and body respond to stimuli and taking advantage of neuroplasticity is key to transformational change.
S: Spirituality
Humans are divine spirit beings. Great peace and wisdom can come from connecting and aligning with Source in whatever way that manifests for each person.
P: Physicality
A person’s physical experience in the world, their physical environment, their physiology, and their ability to heal plays an important role in overall health.
I: Intellectualism
Intellect not only includes analytical thought, but also incorporates focus, clarity, direction, and contributions to creation and society. It is a key element in thoughts becoming reality.
R: Relationality
Healing happens in healthy relationships and through positive interactions in those relationships. Being aligned and attuned to one’s own needs and the needs of others is at the core of this model.
E: Emotionality
This domain is where experiences in the world are synthesized and interpreted. It represents feelings and a relationship to all things. There is a strong link between emotions and physical health.
D: Determination
Internal work is not for the faint of heart. It takes daily commitment and practice to change the neuropathways that drive behavior.
Daily living has its share of varied experiences including threats and the threat responses, or as Virginia Satir calls them “foreign elements," that can throw clients into chaos. A threat response is even greater when clients see themselves as powerless in the situation. Each of the INSPIRED domains house targeted tools to aid clients in regaining their personal power and helps build resiliency.
The I AM INSPIRED™ coaching cohort is offered once a year to a select number of coaches interested in training in this modality. There are a limited number of spaces available and are reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis.
